Glass Lovers Glass Database Forum Board Email & Notification Help

1st, please add a photo to your profile, I hate the black form avatar that looks like a shadow person.  If you don't have or want a picture up of yourself, use any photo that represents your personality!!!!


SETTING UP EMAIL or NO EMAIL aka Notification Preferences:
NOTE:   New Members are automatically set-up to receive 'Immediate Notification' email from all forums unless you change your preferences.   That can be a lot of email so please check your settings.
Instructions for setting up Notification Preference to Watch Forum Topics
1.
 Select the Down arrow next to your name (top right of main page)
2.
 Select "My Settings" & set-up your notification preferences.  (cursor down the entire page to view all options)
3.
 Go back to the main Forum Page (you can click on the top Navigation link or the logo to get there)
4.
 Notice the Blue Bar Categories (+ or - signs at the ends of them & a category name within the blue.)
5.
 Open all Forums (use the + tic to open them)
6.
 Notice each Forum has Topics.  Example: HelpID & Glass has all these forum topics 1) Age Unknown Glass; 2) Late 20th & Early 21st Century Glass; 3) Middle 20th Century Glass; 4) Early 20th Century Glass; 5) Really Old Glass

 Enter Each Topic & Select WATCH (right hand corner).

 A pop-up screen will open that is self-explanatory.  Make a selection. (I suggest you select IMMEDIATE Noticiation). (you will now get email for this topic)
9.
 Repeat this same procedure for all the forums within the Blue Bar Categories and you're done.
10.
 NOTE:  If new categories and topics are added to the forum be sure to set your preferences in them as they are added to the board.  Also set up Watch preferences for the Gallery if you'd like to be notified of new picture uploads to the Help ID Section or any other Gallery Section
